We had been together for 20 years. The more kids I had, the more time we spent together. After starting my blog, focusing on kid’s fashion, we became even closer. So, when I decided it was time to explore my options and look for something that made my life easier, it was a big deal. Now that it’s done, I’m so glad that I decided to break up with CHLORINE BLEACH!
As a kid’s fashion blogger, I LOVE clean white t-shirts. They look good with virtually any outfit. If I am in a creative slump when choosing outfits for my boys, I start with jeans and a white tee. Everything else flows together from that point.
As a mommy, I HATE to clean white t-shirts. My boys are not little robots who have learned to keep food, grass, juice, puke, mud and sometimes poop (baby Wyatt) off of their clothes. Just thinking about spilled chocolate milk and baby blowouts stresses me out! No matter how perfect they look on Instagram, I’m here to tell you they get dirty, and I mean really dirty! Sorry to ruin the dream.
For those of you who are new here, we just welcomed our third baby boy to the family. Thank you for the congrats! We are thrilled. You know what I’m not thrilled about….I now have another person’s laundry to deal with. So when I partnered with the maker of OxiClean White Revive for this post, I was a little nervous about switching up my already aggressive laundry routine. Chlorine bleach and I had been together a long time, it was hard to give another product a try but, I am so glad I did! In fact, even before writing this, I already started spreading the word about my OxiClean White Revive discovery to my friends. So, you know it’s legit. This is a real love affair!
Here’s why I am now in love with OxiClean White Revive, in order of what’s most important to me:
- It is safe on colors. Although I love a plain white shirt, many of my kid’s clothes are just mostly white. This is where the whole stress comes in. Do I put it in with darks and hope the whites stay white? Do I put it in with whites and pray the design doesn’t get accidentally bleached? AHHHHH!!! Now I don’t even have to worry about it. If it’s mostly white, it goes in with whites and OxiClean White Revive.
- It has 40% more whitening power per load than chlorine bleach. Yes please!
- It doesn’t have that chlorine bleach smell. Having a newborn means he is strapped to me at all times, even in the laundry room. My baby’s little nose thanks you, OxiClean White Revive.
- The presoak!!! I know that you “can” do some kind of presoak using chlorine bleach but I’ve pretty much ruined clothing every time I tried it, so I gave up. This presoak actually works for me! You add the OxiClean White Revive with warm water and let it soak for 6 hours. I tested it on both chocolate milk and baby poop after this very shoot and it totally works!
