It’s a beach day!!! I’m taking all 3 boys to the beach for the first time…yes, you heard correctly. All 3. Yikes! The thought of doing it is terrifying but, if other people can do it, so can I. Right?
In true kid fashion, they have to eat some of the watermelon before we even get out the door because, “It looks so yummy.” This happens all the time in our house. No snack is ever safe from immediate consumption. So, I’ve figured out the trick to make clean up fast and easy. All it takes is shirts off, a towel and a canister of Wet Ones ® Hand Wipes. Prop the kids on a towel and let them have at it. That way all you have to do is throw the towel in the laundry. It completely eliminates the post watermelon hose down of the patio, or even worse, busting out a mop if they happen to eat in the house. After the towel trick is complete, all you have to do is hand them the canister of Wet Ones ® Hand Wipes. I always keep a few canisters on hand. In fact, I make sure to keep them where the boys can easily reach them unassisted. This way they have no excuse for not taking the initiative to clean up after themselves, plus the wipes are antibacterial and kill 99.99% of germs. Needless to say, we go through a lot of wipes in this house. Let’s face it, I am completely outnumbered now. So, they have to help out. For any moms out there that don’t keep Wet Ones® Hand Wipes around, get some! It makes life easier and teaches the kids a little responsibility for personal hygiene.
